Seattle – Secret Supper

Seattle Met is announcing their restaurant of the year in their November issue and had a 2nd annual secret supper to recognize the winner. Emails were sent out the morning of the dinner informing diners where to go and I was pretty happy since I’d been wanting to try Loulay for a while, especially after having food from sister restaurant Luc during the Bastille Day festival. Dinner was great and will be back to try the full menu out.

Boulevardier: Rye, Antica, Domaine Canton, Campari, lemon juice


Amuse: butternut squash and smoked salmon


Crab beignets: dungeness crab fritter, harissa aioli


Duck confit sliders: aged sherry vinaigrette, profiterole


Butter poached black cod: saffron pomme puree, pickled apple, penn cove mussels, madras curry sauce


Tri-tip: pan seared polenta, wild mushroom, red-onion bacon jam, rosemary demi


Blueberry pound cake: sweet corn ice cream, blueberry compote, salted caramel corn

Chocolate truffle cake: praline bar, lemon cremeux, roasted white chocolate ice milk
