Portland – Ox

Left for Ox at 6 thinking that would have to wait 60-90 minutes for a table but we were seated right away. One good thing about the heat, everyone else is out still having fun and going to dinner later.

This time went the steak route which was a very good choice. Forgot the wine I had brought from my collection but turned out be a better “decision” as got a magnificent malbec.


Chilled asparagus soup


Lettuce, lemon & white miso dressing, salt-cured anchovy, croutons, flowering thyme


Blistered green beans, citrus-soy vinegar, basil, pickled fresno chilies.


36oz bone-in ribeye


Skirt steak


Cake: vanilla bean tres leches cake, raspberry meringues, white chocolate-raspberry swirl gelato
