Portland – Le Pigeon

So with three dinners, that’s the plan unless head home before dinner on the 4th, added someplace new. K had eaten at Le Pigeon before and recommended it and everyone I talked to in the Portland area said it was fantastic. Didn’t know that the chef had won the Beard for Rising Star and Best Chef NW like Chef Wetzel at Willows Inn, although didn’t achieve in back to back year like Wetzel.

The meal was great and in Portlandia fashion most of the seating was mostly as shared tables or at the counter surrounding the kitchen.

Rabbit pie with mustard ice cream

Pekin duck breast – chiang mai sausage, wild rice, snow peas, ginger lemongrass hollandaise

Grilled short rib – onions, corn and some other stuff (I didn’t take a picture of the menu since they have it online, but it’s not current)

Beef Cheek Bourguinon – epoisses risotto, oyster mushrooms, dijon pickled onion, sweet herbs

Creme Brulee – white chocolate camomile pot de creme

Peach ice box cake – jersey milk sorbet, honey-sesame cream

Chocolate ganache
