Buddy and I convinced a few others to join us on a day trip to a historic town and estancia. This is an operational ranch that happens to host tourists and we learned about the gaucho history and visited a few silversmiths in town before going to the estancia. Because of the rain we had to ride in an Unimog since it was a 6K dirt road. The estancia was beautiful and the weather was perfect. We had a nice ride through the grounds after eating some empenadas before having a full on asado. Ended day with some songs and watching one of the gaucho perform with his horse, the level of control he showed over the horse was absolutely incredible.
We all loved the chimichurri sauce and the staff actually gave us the recipe. Their secret was hydrated Herbs de Provence.
