San Francisco – Atelier Crenn

Have two days  off work and with K still working before we head up to Vancouver I’m making a quick trip to my former home of SF. I’m slowly making my way through the top restaurants here and after watching Chef Crenn’s Chef’s Table episode this was my only choice for this trip. The menu here is quite unique in that it is presented as a poem with each course being a line. I had to ask for a more detailed menu as I left as my note taking during the meal tailed off the more glasses of wine I had. What was most surprising was the number of desserts to finish the meal, I was incredibly full after getting through the savory courses. The meal was excellent, my favorite courses were the abalone and the Forest.
